How to Calculate Sale Price

  1. Divide the discount percentage by 100.
  2. Subtract that from 1.
  3. Multiply the original price by the result.

Example: a $100 item at 20% off. Sale Price = 100 × (1 − 0.20) = 100 × 0.80 = $80.
